Education and Experience :

• Fresh technical university/Engineering School graduate with bachelor degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical engineering or a related field of study (It is a must).
• Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience in corporate purchasing or sales.
• Familiarity with technical and industrial purchases will be an advantage.

Technical Skills and Behavioural Competencies Required :

• Basic knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices, product and service vendor sources.
• Organisational and Time management skills: multi-tasking and prioritising, planning work activities efficiently to meet deadlines and high level goals.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and handle a high volume of requests and tight deadlines.
• Proactive thinking: Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation warrants it.
• Flexibility: Demonstrates willingness to change ideas or perceptions based on new information or contrary evidence. Is open to new ideas and listens to other people’s points of view.

Operational Spanish is an advantage (both written and verbal).

• Good working knowledge of MS Office & ERP Products (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ability to quickly grasp and work with new software.

Missions du poste

Position Summary :

Purchases assigned commodities for APM Terminals Tangier; ensures that supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner.

Principal Accountabilities :

1. Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase requests / orders.
2. Locate Value Added Resellers (VARs) using sources such as catalogues and the internet, and gather information about products to be ordered.
3. Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
4. Solicits bids and contracts as necessary for non standard supplies.
5. Respond to internal customers and suppliers’ inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
6. Track status and liaise with suppliers and transporters in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
7. Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.
8. Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications.
9. Maintain and update vendor database, manage agreements, review performance and contracts recommending contract modifications when necessary.
10. Maintain knowledge of all organisational and governmental rules affecting purchases, and provide information about these rules to organisation staff members and to vendors.
11. Support in preparing Requests for Information / Proposal (RFI / RFP).
12. Assist with other Corporate Purchasing projects as needed.
13. Performs other position related duties as specified by management.
