The successful candidate will have a recognized University degree and a minimum of 8 years marketing experience in an International company. You will need to be able to exhibit:
- A sound understanding of African or Western Union’s business culture, preferably with a bias towards Financial Services,
- An ability to interact successfully with ethnic communities and with African banks, Post Offices and entrepreneurs,
- Cross functional and inter-country team leadership experience as well as the ability to function within a team,
- The ability to lead and manage large scale projects within allocated budget and timeframes,
- Experience in managing external agencies (media, advertising, PR),
- Budget management experience and related country or brand specific P&L's,
- Experience working with Agent networks and negotiating contracts,
- Extensive interpersonal and communication/negotiation skills and the ability to ensure cooperation with Western Union's programs,
- Fluency in English, French (one or more languages such as Arabic, Portuguese or Spanish are a plus),
- The ability to undertake extensive travel within the region,
- A thorough understanding of MS Office as well as common database and interface techniques,
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Missions du poste

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing the regional marketing strategies, plans and goals in Africa in order to maximize revenue objectives in all products and services sold through the Agent Network. This to include:

- Development and implementation of the marketing plan for Africa, to ensure the maximization of marketing impact and efficiency,
- The creation and maintenance of optimal marketing initiatives throughout the Agent Network,
- Achieving service quality standards, through the development and implementation of in-country marketing plans for Africa, involving the development and execution of advertising campaigns, consumer promotions, local marketing events and merchandising,
- Analysis of the market segments to identify and exploit opportunities, including the setting of goals and objectives for the agent network,
- Provide marketing support to local agents,
- Design and monitor programs, conduct business analysis of major promotions and initiatives; analysis of marketing research,
- Design and monitor and control the budget,
- Liaison with the AVP and other VPs to ensure the strategic fit of regional initiatives and Agent support of these initiatives.
